1. The service

Statesis is a statistical analysis application for iPad and Mac. These terms cover your use of the app and, where relevant, this website. By using Statesis, you agree to these terms.

2. Plans and billing

Statesis offers the following plans:

• Free: no charge, limited to 100 rows per dataset, descriptive statistics, and three chart types.
• Pro: $9.99/month or $79/year, billed through the App Store. Auto-renews until cancelled; cancel any time in your App Store subscription settings, effective at the end of the current billing period.
• Student: $3.99/month, billed as a single $47.88 charge for 12 months. This is a non-auto-renewing purchase: it does not renew automatically, and continuing after 12 months requires re-verifying your .edu email and purchasing again.
• Institutional (B2B): billed directly outside the App Store under a separate agreement. TODO: add a link to (or summary of) the institutional licence terms once drafted.

Prices are shown in USD and may be adjusted for local currency and taxes by the App Store.

3. Your content

You retain full ownership of the datasets, analyses, and output you create in Statesis. As described in our Privacy Policy, your research data is processed on your device and is not uploaded to us.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use Statesis to process data you don't have the right to use, attempt to reverse-engineer the app or its statistics engine, or circumvent the plan limits described above.

5. Disclaimer

Statesis is a statistical computation tool, not a substitute for professional statistical or research consultation. You're responsible for verifying that the analyses you choose are appropriate for your data and research question. The app is provided "as is"; TODO: standard warranty disclaimer and liability limitation language to be added by a lawyer before launch.

6. Termination

You can stop using Statesis and cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store account settings. TODO: add our own termination rights (e.g. for breach of acceptable use) once drafted.

7. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes to these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where required, notify you in the app.
